I got the large size. I have a ceramic style garlic cellar that I've had for a number of years and it does look nice, but it holds one and a half cloves of garlic so not much at all. I usually buy two to four cloves at a time often, some of the garlic will go bad because it's not been in a container. I was delighted to find this large wooden garlic holder because it holds multiple cloves of garlic. It is wooden and looks very nice in the kitchen. The walls of the wood keep out the light and still has of course a couple of holes in it to keep the air flowing around the garlic. I think this is beautifully designed and also very functional. I have it on my kitchen counter and have got a number of compliments on it.
